Silver Surfer Sketchagraph par «BIG» John Buscema
TM & © 1998 Marvel Characters Inc
Late «BIG» John Buscema (1927-2002) is regarded as one of the finest craftsmen & most influential artists in the history of comic books. John started a long and successful career in comics in 1948. During his 50 years in the industry, he worked on every possible genre : crime, western, Sci-Fi, romance etc… His most famous body of work was produced for Marvel’s popular new line of super-heroes after his return to the compagny in 1966.

Arguably second only to Jack Kirby in importance & pages output at Marvel comics, John lent his prodigious pencils to virtually each of its mainstay characters at one time or another; The Avengers, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Thor, Fantastic Four and Conan to name but a few of the host of characters & books that «BIG» John drew until his semi retirement in 1996.

John Buscema passed away in January of 2002 but his memory & talent will never be forgotten.
